WCS were honoured to be invited by UKWA to attend the 2015 IFWLA (International Federation of Warehousing Logistics Associations) Annual Convention event, held in Liverpool and opened this year by HRH The Princess Royal.
The IWFLA Convention is an esteem event offering valuable opportunities to engage with industry leaders and from 12 different countries. The event showcased a mix of formal presentations alongside break out groups, panel sessions and exchanges of best practice amongst peers. A high majority of attendees represented the G7 group with “significant numbers” joining from logistics operators, retailers and manufacturers from the UK.
As patron of Transaid (UKWA’s official charity), the addition of HRH The Princess Royal offered an exciting extension to discussion on the importance of the logistics industry and efficient supply chain operations.
WCS CEO Joshila Makan added, “It was a pleasure to be part of this year’s event – set in a perfect environment for formal and informal peer to peer interaction, and certainly a great opportunity to meet some esteemed industry leaders who shared valuable insights and case studies. We’ll take away much value as a company as we continue to evolve both as a business and in how we look to continually improve our product offering… It was a great honour and privilege to meet HRH Princess Anne who made every effort to engage with everyone individually and certainly extra memorable for those who were selected to meet her personally.”
